A New Era (To Post or Not To Post)

On May 22nd, 2015, around 8:00ish pm, after attending since k4, I graduated from Fourth Baptist Christian School. When the tassel went from one side of my head to the other, it marked the end of a chapter in my life, and the beginning of a new one.

Unlike the past two summers, this summer, I will not be traveling with The Academy of Arts, but I will be attending Ellerslie Discipleship Training for their very last 9 week semester. After that, I will be attending Pensacola Christian College to major in Business with an Accounting Concentration.

All of that to say, I have absolutely no idea how often I will be able to post anymore. It has been a faithful friend throughout my Junior and Senior years of highschool, but during this summer followed by four years of college, I don’t know what things are going to look like.

None the less, if God decides to continue laying things on my heart to post, things will always be posted. This is something that He started two years ago and has been sustaining ever since, so whether it continues consistently or not is completely up to Him.

Really though, whether I write about it or not, God’s plans will move mountains, and I cannot wait to move forward in this endless frontier.

This is a new era, and it’s definitely the better.

Where it happens, or should I say, “happened.”

    That’s crazy that you’re going to PCC. I graduated from A Beka Academy, and even applied at PCC and was accepted quite a number of months ago. And if I know the Ellerslie you’re talking of, a few friends of mine went through that. It truly is a small world.

        I was going to be. As a nursing major. But when God made it clear that I was to go to China, I put it on hold. It’s still in my considerations for next year though.

        Isn’t it though? I would have seriously laughed if we both ended up going there. 😂 I’m sure you’ll thrive there! Have you visited?

        When I traveled on Team South last summer, I was in Pensacola, Florida for a full week, but we never made it to the campus. We drove by it once as our team leader was like, “Other side of those trees!” So no, with a slight trace of yes.

        Well, it’s a BEAUTIFUL campus. I loved it. In fact, my grad picture in my last post was in the center of the foyer at the Crowne Centre. But by far my favorite thing while I was there was the Chapel/church services. I think you’ll love Pastor McBride. Ahhh, I’m so excited for you! Can’t wait to see what God shows you while you’re there. The only thing I’d say to remember is don’t get caught up in legalism. I love a lot of their rules and such, but in that kind of environment, sometimes it’s hard to not get self-righteous about them. Stay humble and enjoy the top-notch education!!!

        Hahaha.. yeah, there was a huge ordeal between PCC and my Church like 15 years ago about my Church switching to NKJV, and PCC went into commando mode. I had been committed to BJU for two years, when I switched to PCC in under a matter of 24 hours. Everyone absolutely flipped, and my Church/school freaked out. So.. yeah.. for sure though. I’m looking forward to it.
